Trip Report and New Land Transport Method

Just got back from our local lake. It was an unseasonable 75 degrees F. and the wind was blowing 10 mph. My son was sailing with me and several times the wind got gusty and almost overpowered us. Our rudder assembly made of some shelf brackets got all bent up. I'll need to re-think using something a little sturdier.

On another note, I have come up with a way to handle the boat on land so that I can load it into my van and launch it on my own. The screw holes holding the wheel assembly to the stern are the same holes I use with the gudgeon. Once I wheel it into the water, I just take it off and replace it with the rudder gudgeons.
