Lucky Duck Update (video)

Hi Shorty,

I hope you are well. Thank you again for all of your help and advice. With the most recent updates the boat is dramatically improved. The last time I wrote, you told me to move the sail forward a bit and we decided that my rudder was not long enough. I created a new rudder system which utilizes a dagger board from an old snark sailboat (the same boat I took my sail from) which is inserted into a slot style case that I made. It is held tight with a bungee.

Attached is a pic of the rudder on the boat and one pic with it lying on the ground. The leeboard is made from a daggerboard off of a sunfish. It wasn’t long enough so I added an extension to the top.

I have had my Lucky Duck out about 9 times so far. Today I was out for a long sail. It was so much fun I really didn’t want to stop. The adjustments made a big difference.

Below are two short videos.

Thanks,
Joe
